This notification is in relation to the Redtrain Networks annual network embargo is from 00:01 Friday 20 December 2024 to 08:00 Tuesday 7 January 2025 (AEDT)
This Restriction has been put in place to maintain network stability over the festive season. It will enable us to carefully manage planned activity over this time and ensure network change impacts are minimized, while supporting peak trading for our customers.
What’s the impact during the embargo period?
- Orders for the delivery of broadband services will be accepted and processed as usual, however due to network and carrier embargos, services may experience extended delivery time. This may affect order delivery times both before and after the embargo.
- Provisioning activities associated with high-risk tasks and any network re-configuration or that requires hardware or software upgrades on the Redtrain, or carrier network will not be undertaken.
- Fast tracks and Escalations – will only be considered on an individual basis and if there will be no impact to the network.
- No planned changes can be carried out during the Network Restriction Period unless these are associated with a network incident, to minimise the risk of outages affecting customers.
What is not affected by the embargo?
- All service assurance activity will continue as normal.
- Emergency changes as required to resolve network incidents, and approved by the Head of Support & Operations
- Basic service activations that have non-impacting configuration.
All activities will re-commence after the embargo period.
Please also note that as the restriction period occurs over the holiday season, there will be times where our workforce teams will operate at a reduced capacity.
